Aston smartin'

THE battle lines have been drawn between JLS and N-DUBZ.

The rival bands are competing for the same roles in a major new BBC drama.
I was wondering when they would clash.
Producers are deciding whether to use JLS stars ASTON, MARVIN, JB and ORITSE - or opt for DAPPY, FAZER and TULISA from N-Dubz.
N-Dubz ... Fazer, Tulisa and Dappy
The news that N-Dubz are now in the running for the cameo role (playing themselves) will devastate Aston, who was out clubbing at Alto in London at the weekend.
He will not be happy because he is pals with many of the people working behind the scenes on the new series, called Ghetto Heaven.
Legendary scriptwriter TONY JORDAN, who created Life On Mars, Hustle and worked on some of EastEnders' biggest plot lines, is developing the show. Filming starts in the summer.
The drama follows the lives of kids living on the fictional Rockindale and Brookdale housing estates in Hackney, east London.
Sounds a bit like a southern version of The Street to me.
The first episode centres around a concert to raise money to save the local community centre.

Quantcast
Before he entered X Factor with JLS, Aston was part of the London theatre group, who tested out scripts for the series in special workshops before the BBC took it on as a project.
He has stayed in touch with his old luvvie mates and expected to slot into the show. A BBC source said: "Aston is a great friend of many people working on the show. If he hadn't found success with X Factor he would have carried on acting and still would have been working on the programme.
"When he got famous he always assumed that JLS would get the role of the band. But N-Dubz have got the edge now. They are more gritty and more street."
I know who I'd be backing if it ever got physical.
JLS have got the fitness. They are always leaping around on stage and have perfect six-packs.
They would certainly go the distance. There's only three of N-Dubz but you know they would not be afraid to fight dirty.
Dappy and Fazer got into trouble on Saturday for firing paintball guns at fans - and Dappy has a history of run-ins with the police.
It might be fun to settle this in the ring.
